Terms of use

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These terms cover mskerba.com and the apps published under the mskerba name — Aura, Poised and Plateful. Using any of them means you accept what's below. If you don't, don't use them.

1. Definitions

  • Provider — mskerba, an independent developer.
  • You — the person using the site or an app.
  • Apps — Aura, Poised, Plateful and any later app published under the mskerba name.
  • Your content — anything you enter or upload: photos, text, questionnaire answers.
  • Output — anything an app generates in response, including AI-generated text and analysis.
  • Subscription — a recurring paid plan that unlocks premium features.

2. Licence

You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. The apps themselves — code, design, names and icons — remain mine. Technical limits and functionality may change as the apps develop.

3. What you may not do

  • Copy, resell, sublicense or redistribute an app.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where law expressly permits.
  • Remove or obscure proprietary notices.
  • Attempt unauthorised access to any system or account.
  • Use an app for anything illegal, or to produce content that harasses, defrauds, defames or harms another person.
  • Upload a photo of someone else without their permission.
  • Automate, scrape or abuse the apps in a way that degrades them for others.

4. Your content and the output

Your content stays yours. To make a feature work, you grant me and the AI providers involved the limited permission needed to process it for that purpose and nothing else — as set out in the relevant privacy policy.

You're responsible for what you put in and for what you do with what comes out. Do not enter sensitive personal, financial or health information about yourself or anyone else.

5. AI output is not advice

All three apps generate output using AI models, which can be wrong, incomplete or oddly confident about it.

Aura produces style suggestions, not medical, dermatological or psychological assessments. Poised produces communication coaching, not legal, HR, therapeutic or financial advice. Any decision about your job, contract or relationship stays yours. Plateful produces AI-generated recipes that are not reviewed by a nutritionist and are not checked against your allergies — read every ingredient before you cook, and check food safety and cooking temperatures yourself.

6. Third-party services

The apps depend on services I don't control, including OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google, RevenueCat, Apple and TheMealDB. Their availability, terms and pricing are theirs to set, and a feature may change or stop working if a provider changes something upstream.

7. Payment and subscriptions

Paid plans are sold through Apple's in-app purchase system and managed via RevenueCat. Payment, billing and renewal are handled by Apple under your App Store account, and a subscription auto-renews until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings. I never see your card details.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by me — request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" flow. If something has gone genuinely wrong, email mskerba13@gmail.com and I'll help where I can.

8. Availability

The apps and this site are provided "as is" and "as available". I don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and I may modify, suspend or discontinue any app or feature. Where a change is significant and I can reasonably give notice, I will.

9. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are disclaimed, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of output. I'm not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of an app.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it's limited to the greater of the amount you paid me in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by my negligence, or any other liability that can't be excluded under the law that applies to you. Consumer rights in your country of residence are unaffected.

10. Termination

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. I may suspend access if these terms are breached in a way that harms other users or the services the apps depend on.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date below shows the current version, and continuing to use an app after a change means you accept the update.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live. Nothing here overrides Apple's own App Store terms, which also apply to any app you download from the App Store.
