Aura · Personal style analysis

Find out what actually suits your face.

Style advice is usually generic because it's written for nobody in particular. Aura reads your own face — shape, jawline, proportions — and gives you recommendations built on that.

Aura at a glance

Face shape, named

Oval, round or square — with a confidence score, so you know how sure the model actually is.

Features described

Eyes, nose, lips, jawline and cheekbones, plus optional notes on silhouette if your upper body is visible.

Advice you can act on

Specific recommendations rather than mood boards — what to wear, what to change, what to leave alone.

Three steps

One photo, about ten seconds.

1 · Take or choose a photo

Front-facing works best. Aura resizes the image to 640 pixels wide before it goes anywhere — smaller file, faster result, less data leaving your phone.

2 · Agree, once

Before the first analysis, Aura shows you exactly what will be sent and which services receive it. Tap Agree & analyse and it goes. Tap Not now and nothing leaves the device.

3 · Read the analysis

Your face shape, a feature-by-feature breakdown and style recommendations, held in the app for the current session. Save the result to your photo library if you want to keep it.

Why this matters here

A photo of your face is not ordinary data.

Plenty of apps in this category quietly build a face database. Aura is built the other way round — there is no database to build one in.

What Aura never creates

No biometric templates. No face embeddings. No face-recognition identifiers. Your photo is used to describe what's visible in the image, never to identify you.

  • Requests route through OpenRouter with data logging switched off
  • Processed by Google's Gemini API under terms that forbid training on submitted content
  • Not retained by any provider after your result is generated
  • Camera and photo library access is requested only when you pick a photo
  • Consent can be withdrawn at any time in Settings

Questions

Before you download

How does Aura work out my face shape?
You take or choose one photo. Aura resizes it and, once you agree, sends it to an AI vision model that classifies your face shape as oval, round or square and describes visible features — eyes, nose, lips, jawline, cheekbones. A confidence score comes back with it, so you can judge how much weight to give the answer.
Is my photo stored anywhere?
No. Aura doesn't run servers, so there's nowhere for it to store your photo. The AI providers are configured so your photo isn't retained after processing and isn't used to train models. Results live in the app's memory for the current session only.
Does Aura use face recognition?
No. It doesn't create biometric templates, face embeddings or face-recognition identifiers, and it never uses your photo to identify you.
Do I need an account?
No sign-up, no password. Aura doesn't collect your name, email address, contacts or precise location.
Can I change my mind after agreeing?
Yes. Settings → AI photo analysis consent. Turn it off and Aura will ask again before any future analysis.
