Poised privacy policy
The short version
Poised is an AI communication coach. To generate drafts, coaching and practice replies, the text you enter is sent to a third-party AI service — and Poised asks for your explicit consent before any of it leaves your device.
Poised runs no servers of its own and does not permanently store your messages or the AI results. There is no account and no sign-up.
What Poised collects
- The text you enter — the situation, message or conversation you want help with.
- AI-generated results: drafts, coaching notes, practice replies and debriefs.
- Anonymous purchase and subscription information, handled by RevenueCat.
- Local preferences — language, theme, onboarding status and your AI consent setting.
There is no account, so Poised does not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location or any other profile information.
1. The data you provide
Your text
In Coach and Practice you type the situation, the message you want help with, or the conversation you want to rehearse. Only after you give explicit consent is that text transmitted for processing.
The results
The AI returns a suggested draft, coaching on what to say and what to avoid and why, tone adjustments, practice role-play replies and a debrief. These are shown inside the app and are not stored on any server operated by me.
2. How your data is used
- Your text is sent as input to the AI model.
- The model generates a response.
- Results are displayed inside the app only.
- Your history is stored on your device only.
Poised does not build user profiles, sell personal data, use your text for advertising, use your text to train AI models, or store your text on any server.
3. Who receives your data

The request contains only your text, the prompt and technical attribution headers. Poised does not send your name, email address, contacts, precise location or phone number. Their policies: OpenRouter, Anthropic, RevenueCat.
4. Storage and retention
On your device
Poised stores your language preference, theme preference, onboarding status, AI consent preference and your message history locally. Clearing your history in the app, or deleting the app, removes that content from your device.
On Poised's servers
There are none. No text, no results, no user accounts.
With the AI providers
Your text is processed by OpenRouter and Anthropic solely to generate the result you asked for. Retention on their side is governed by their own privacy policies, linked above.
5. Consent
Before the first AI request, Poised explains what will be sent, which service receives it and why. No text is transmitted unless you tap Continue on the consent dialog. Choose Cancel and nothing is sent. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings, after which Poised will ask again before the next request.
6. Microphone access
Requested only when you choose to dictate text by voice, and used for nothing else.
7. Security
Encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections for everything transmitted to the AI service, and no storage of your text on infrastructure of mine.
8. Your rights
- Decline AI processing at any time.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Stop using the AI features without affecting the rest of the app.
Because Poised stores no text or results on its own servers, there is no server-side data to export or delete. For information retained by a third-party provider, contact that provider directly.
Depending on where you live you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct or delete personal information. To exercise them, email mskerba13@gmail.com.
9. Diagnostics and usage data
Separately from the AI features above, Poised sends crash reports and product analytics to the services below. This happens on every launch and is not covered by the AI consent prompt — that prompt governs only whether your text is sent for processing.

The events are a fixed, predefined list describing which screens and features were used. They are not free text: event values are restricted to a strict character pattern that rejects anything containing a space, so the text you type into Poised cannot be carried in an analytics event.
These services are operated by the companies named above under their own privacy policies: Google, Mixpanel, RevenueCat.
Children's privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age that applies where you live if your jurisdiction sets one. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email mskerba13@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when data practices or legal obligations change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the most recent revision.
